SCHOOL PARTIES

Schoolchildren about to go a trip on Victoria

School parties are most welcome  during the season.  There must be at least one adult, (no charge) for every 10 children. All visits include the boat trip, a visit to the Canal Museum and the provision of worksheets.
Three types of boat trips are available :

The Town Stretch Trip takes 30 minutes and the charge is £1.00 for nursery school children and £1.50 for all other ages and £2 for each additional adult.
The Quarry Trip takes 1 hour and the cost for the trip is £60
The Avon Aqueduct Trip takes 3 hours and the cost of the trip is £180.

The maximum numbers allowed by the Marine Safety Agency are 36 children and 3 adults on St Magdalene and 10 children and 2 adults on Victoria. If you plan to book Victoria, please ascertain from your local authority that you are permitted to use an open boat.
Although there is wheelchair access to the tea room, museum and toilets the boats are unsuitable for disabled passengers. LUCS suggests a short reconnoitering visit to assess the suitability of our facilities for your party.
