Canal Centre Opening – 2016

Linlithgow Canal Centre opens again at weekends from Saturday 26th March. You can take a cruise aboard St Magdalene to the Avon Aqueduct or a short town trip aboard Victoria. The Canal Museum and Tearoom will also be open each weekend.

Boat Trips

  • Falkirk Wheel Cruises 2016 (booking essential): This is a half day outing to the world-famous Falkirk Wheel. You can choose to either cruise there, enjoy the Falkirk Wheel and bus back or vice-versa. Dates for 2016 are Sunday 29th May, 26th June, Sunday 31st July and Sunday 28th August. Depart at 9:30 or 12:30pm £22 per person (no concessions).
  • Wine and Cheese Cruise: September (date to be confirmed).

Special Events

  • Canal Fun Day 2016: A great day out, with something for everyone – boat trips, stalls, amusements and featuring the famous cardboard boat race. Sunday 14th August from 1pm.
  • Linlithgow Folk Festival: Evening boat trip Saturday; Sessions at the basin during normal opening hours (tbc)
